We got the keys to our new apartment last week. God has given us many, many blessings in the new apartment–one of them being our new landlady. She has been very kind and helpful.
Second, the washing machine works! Yes, it does! I can’t thank God enough for a washing machine that washes clothes! YAY! I’m going to be hanging clothes all over the place to dry since they’re finally getting washed! 😉
We thank God for our location. There seem to be lots of young families in the area, and we’ve had the fun of meeting some–and sharing peanuts with a boy on the playground who saw Daniela, Nino, and Angelo snacking (yes, we asked his dad first).
The boys are ecstatic about their bunk bed. I sort of wished for some sort of “obstacle” on the edge of Angelo’s bed to keep him from falling out. I’ve heard of people in America putting a pool noodle under the fitted sheet on the edge of the bed to keep someone from accidentally rolling out, but there are no pool noodles (that I know of) in Italy–at least not at this time of year. I thought I could just roll up a towel and put it in there, but I was still secretly hoping for a pool noodle because I’d have to buy the extra towel anyway. Well, would you believe that God delivered a pool noodle to my living room?! Well, it wasn’t exactly intended to be a pool noodle, but that’s what it was (although slit all the way down one side). Yup. Our kitchen table arrived with a “pool noodle” wrapped all the way around the edge to protect it in travel! HA! It is now in Angelo’s bed. 🙂
And, God continues to bless us with lots of little blessings. (and big ones too)
